Transitional Whimsy combines the organic and the digital in a playful textile collection for children’s outerwear, which celebrates both the transition from winter to spring and our transition into a more digital age. To create these samples, I used graph paper to develop the springtime motifs, a CAD system to develop the Summer/Winter weave structures, wool yarns, and an 8-harness Structo table loom to hand-weave the fabric.
